About The Tended Mind

What is The Tended Mind?
A place for honest reflection and practical formation. Here you will find writing on grief, relationships and what it means to be human - and tools for tending a mind toward conscience as much as cleverness, whether that mind is your own, your child's, or your students'.

Who is it for?
Anyone drawn to honest reflection - and, in particular, the people who shape young minds: parents, teachers, and institutions. It is also here for anyone carrying something quietly who wants to feel a little less alone.

Does it cost anything?
No. Everything here - the writing and the tools - is free. Only fuller packages for institutions are offered for a fee, with concessions for under-resourced and government schools..

Sharing your story and finding support

Can I share my story? What happens to it?
Yes. You can share what you carry, and it will be read with care. With your explicit consent, some stories may become anonymised writing - names and details changed - so that others feel less alone. Sharing here is a way to be heard. It is not a request for counselling, and it does not replace professional support.

Will my story stay private? Could I be identified?

Anonymity is a value here, not only a promise. Nothing is ever published without your consent, and if a story becomes writing, names and identifying details are changed or removed.

Is this counselling or therapy? No. The Tended Mind is not a therapy service, and it is not a substitute for professional mental-health care. It is a place to read, to reflect, and to be heard - and to point you toward real professional help when you need it.

What if I need urgent help right now?If you are in immediate danger or crisis, please do not wait for a reply here. Contact your local emergency services, or a helpline such as iCall on 9152987821 (India). You will find more options on the Find Support page.

Tools and resources

Can I trust these tools for my child? The tools are made with care and grounded in sound practice. They are for reflection and growth, not a replacement for professional support. If you or your child are struggling, please also reach out to a qualified professional.

Can schools and institutions use the tools?Yes. There is a dedicated section for institutions, with resources you can adopt for students and staff. Some institutional packages are offered for a fee, with concessions for under-resourced and government schools. To find out more, get in touch at connect@thetendedmind.org.

Getting involved
