The Framework

The Tended Mind Framework rests on one central conviction - a mind is formed, not simply born. It presents an educational framework exploring how schools can intentionally support whole-child development, drawing on contemporary developmental research alongside enduring traditions of ethical thought.

The Framework is organised into six connected chapters, each building on the one before it. Together they explain the educational philosophy, developmental model and curriculum approach that underpin The Tended Mind. While each chapter may be read independently, the Framework is intended to be read as a coherent whole.
